The Skin is the largest organ - if you slipped it offand popped it on the scales it would wiegh approximately 2.75 kg (6 lbs). For a glowing, healthy complexion that beats the heat of summer, you need to concentrate on the essentials. But before starting a skin care routine ,analyse your skin type( dry, oily or a combination of the two). Analysing could be a little tricky and misleading. For example: The most moist skin on your face may not be due to oily skin but perspiration.Or, a dry skin care may be due to a harsh astringent. So, I would suggest you get your skin professionally analysed at least once a year.
A good skin care can retard and help rejuvenate old tired looking skin. The skin is a wonderful barometer of our health, and although good skin care will go a far way in helping us preserve youth and vitality, we also need to look after the body to achieve this anti-ageing look. Everybody comes in contact with dusts and pollutants daily, which leads to a very critical skin problems i.e. looks blotchy, full of wrinkles, sagging skin, and lacking in skin tone and vitality.

Instead of thinking about trying for the lotions available in the market, which turns to give 'nil result', try these simpler tips to gift yourself, the sensational skin. 1. CLEANSING OF SKIN
Washing face with hot or cold water causes broken capillaries. So we should always wash your face with luke warm water. Cleansing is essentilal in the morning if moisturizer ia applied at night.
2. TONING OF SKIN:
For extra oily skins, use astringent lotion instead of a toner. An astringent is a strongtoner which affectively removes excessive oiliness besides toning and refreshing the skin.
3. MOISTURISING OF SKIN
Remember to always use a sunscreen during the day on the top of the moisturizer. This will protect the skin from pollution, sun damage and dehydration.
There are five kinds of skin:
- Normal skin
- Oily or greasy skin
- Dry skin
- Sensitive skin and
- Combinational skin
Tips for healthy skin:
Achieving the appearance of radient and truly healthy skin is always a goal for everyone. Every women feel prettiest when she is confident about her skin. The basic skin care routine involves Cleansing, toning , Exfoliation and Moisturising. If you know your skin type, you can work out some homegrown remedies to nourish it. - You should wash your face as many times as you can.
- You should avoid eating fried and cheesy food.
- Rub your face with ice-cubes and you can also try ice water mixed with lime juice and wash the face with this mixture.
- Take food which contains more A and C vitamin.
- Mix one spoon of honey with the white of an egg and grated potato. Apply this on the face and let it dry. Wash it off with cold water and feel the magic of freshness.
- Mix turmeric and cream on the top of milk, massage that mixture to body.
- Grind rose petals and mix with cream on the top of milk and apply to your body. Shower after 10 minutes.
- Mix honey in water and drink daily in the morning to keep your skin shiny and smooth.
- Massage mustard oil to your skin for 5 minutes and have shower with gram flour or mild soap.
- Always wear a moisturized sunscreen when outdoors, winter and summer. The sun's rays can burn you even if the air feels cool, and sunlight reflected off water or snow can be particularly powerful.
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day.
- Use a humidifier to lessen the drying effects of indoor heat on your skin in the winter.
- Warm honey and mix with lemon juice and apply on to face. Wash after it dry.
- Mix well one grated tomato, one spoon of sandalwood powder and half spoon of china clay. Mix again all these ingredients in rose water and apply on the face, leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it off to feel tightened skin.
- After mashing up well a pineapple slice, mix it with the juice of an orange or a lemon and add all these ingredients with wheat flour. Apply this mixture on the face and neck. Scrub it off after some time, to get fresh and smooth skin.
- Take a carrot, grate and mix it well with one spoon of honey. Apply this all over the face and leave it for only 15 minutes. Now wash and feel the difference after regular use.
- Take a cup of raw pureed spinach, and one spoon of fresh cream, mix well all these and apply on the face. Leave it for about half an hour and wash it off to see the charming skin to support your great looks.
